    Customize

    Table of Contents:

Sample site have 2 skins: default and Christmas. Christmas skin does not have separate skin folder and is only symbolic link to default skin with minimum changes in template. Sample site is made to be mostly suitable for typical business company and minimal design updates require. Typical customization requires to upload design elements (replacement pictures, ex. logo) and edit style sheet variables file skin-variables.scss. Attention - sample site skin style sheet files are created in SASS format ! You can use CMS File Manager or WebDAV server to do task:

    • CMS File Manager. Login into CMS as builtin administrator and run CMS File Manager on http://your-site-url/cms/srv/admin/doc. Upload design elements (replacement pictures) to folder site/cms/skins/default/images. Use builtin WYSIVYG editor to edit file skin-variables.scss located in folder site/cms/skins/default/css.
    • WebDAV connected as network drive. Map CMS WebDAV server as network drive to your PC. Use WebDAV server URL http://your-site-url/cms/webdav (default CMS WebDAV settings) and set builtin administrator and password for connection authorization. Instructions may be found on internet ex. WebDAV for Windows Vista and Windows 7 Users. Upload design elements (replacement pictures) to folder /cms/skins/default/images on WebDAV network drive. Use your favorit editor to edit file skin-variables.scss located in folder /cms/skins/default/css on WebDAV network drive. We suggest to use Notepad++ with SCSS syntax highlighting for Notepad++ installed.
    • Adobe Dreamweaver connected to CMS WebDAV server (or other similar product). Create Adobe Dreamweaver project using WebDAV server URL http://your-site-url/cms/webdav (default CMS WebDAV settings) and set builtin administrator and password for connection authorization. Upload design elements (replacement pictures) to folder /cms/skins/default/images. Edit skin-variables.scss located in folder /cms/skins/default/css. We strongly recommend get SASS to work with Dreamweaver or similar.
